The Quantity feature limits the number of available units a member can reserve or purchase.
Configuration
To limit the number of total slots for the event or reservation, use total quantity.
If you want to limit the number of units someone can reserve in a single submissions, use max per user per interaction.
Waitlist
Waitlist allows Members to register to a waitlist for full-capacity events. Members will receive an automatic email notification when a waitlist opening becomes available and the spot will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Note that this feature is only available on Posts.
Quantity must be configured to set the number of people who can make a reservation. Once the content hits the maximum quantity/capacity, all future users will be added to the waitlist.
To turn on the Waitlist a few settings need to be enabled.
- The Cancelling feature is required.
Advanced Rules
You can also toggle Allocate units for a specific channel, and set a number of allotted units. After choosing one or multiple channels you can also choose:
-
Yes/No: The selected channel must be a member's primary location
- When enabled, the advanced rule will only be applicable to the selected channel(s), if the channel is the user's primary location.
-
Yes/No: Members of this channel(s) may claim all available quantity
- This is enabled by default, allowing users of the selected channel(s) to have access to both the allotted units and remaining quantity.
This is handy when you want to set priority access to resources.
For example, let's say 480 Main Street is hosting a community event with 100 tickets. The advanced quantity rule could allow an admin to allocate 80 tickets to tenants of 480 Main Street, and 20 tickets for tenants at the customer’s adjacent property 460 Main Street.
If Members of this channel(s) may claim all available quantity is enabled, when users of the selected channel book all 80 tickets, they also have access to the remaining 20 quantity for the event. When disabled, the users of the selected channel(s) only can access the allotted units. For example, the users of the selected channel only have access to the 80 of the 100 tickets for the event at 480 Main Street.
You can also use this for:
- Desk booking
- All event types
- Any content with a quantity associated!
Viewing a Waitlist
Admin View
Content set up for a waitlist has an additional tab in the Page and Content Center. The Waitlist Tab enables you to view the reservation dates, names of users on the waitlist, their primary email, and their company.
An individual user is removed from this waitlist view when:
- The user submits for a newly open time slot
- The user removes themselves from the waitlist
- Admins use the remove action on the table
Member View
When all available seats are filled, Members are prompted to Join waitlist. After joining the waitlist, a pop-up appears notifying them they will be alerted if a seat opens up.
