Channels organize Activate into communities and spaces. When you join, you can find information about events, perks, promotions, amenities, and a lot more, depending on the Channel. It's the best way to stay connected to the communities around you in one convenient place.
Public and private
Some Channels are invite-only. Your workplace, for example, might send you an email inviting you to join their Channel to stay up to date on company information.
A lot of them are public, though, and you can join whenever you like to stay in the loop. It's a great way to get the most out of our new hybrid world—subscribe to your company's main office, that flex space uptown, and even your local coffee shop for when you just can't cut the commute.
View your Channels
You can view your subscribed channels on your mobile device or in the desktop version.
On desktop, use the Channel selector to see everything you're subscribed to and switch with just a click. You can also check a comprehensive list by clicking the user profile icon, then selecting the Subscriptions tab.
On your mobile device, tap the user profile tab and choose switch workplace.
Subscribe to Channels
When you subscribe, you can see everything a Channel has to offer and get notifications for updates and events.
On desktop:
- Go to your user profile.
- Pick the Buildings & Companies panel.
- Search for Channels around your area.
- Select a Channel and click the Confirm button.
- Use the Channel selector to check out the new Channel.
On mobile:
- Tap the user profile tab.
- Choose Add a new workplace.
- Search for Channels in your area.
- Select a Channel and tap Yes, join! to confirm.
- Use Switch workplace to switch to the new Channel.
Unsubscribe
If you're changing workplaces, unsubscribing from a Channel removes you from the Channel and deactivates your notifications.
On desktop:
- Switch to the Channel you want to leave.
- Click the gear icon.
- Click the Leave button.
- Choose Confirm.
On mobile:
- Tap the user profile tab.
- Go to workplace settings.
- Find the Channel, then tap the edit icon.
- Hit the Leave button, then choose Yes to confirm.
💡 Note: Unsubscribing from a channel won't delete your account. |
Delete your account
- On desktop, click the user profile icon.
- Click Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice—VTS support will remove your account within 30 days.
