Use content blocks to show members their upcoming requests, reservations, bookings, and other transactions. In this guide, we'll explore what user interactions are in Activate and how you can share the information with your members.
Anytime a member makes a reservation, submits a request, purchases an item, or engages with a piece of interactive content, Activate makes a record of the interaction. This transaction receipt contains a unique QR Code which links to the details of the interaction and can function as a proof of purchase or reservation. You can also display the interactions on a Page so your members can check what's coming up or what they've reserved.
The user interaction list block shows all of a member's interactions in that channel. You can edit the sort order or toggle to hide the list when there's no results.
|💡 Only open interactions show up on a user interaction list.|
The interactions on content list block shows every interaction on a specific post, like a list of all the reservations for an event. This one's good for internal teams—you can choose to show open, closed, or all interactions to create registers or to-do lists.
The interactions on section list block is similar, but it applies to a whole section. You might use it to display a list of every booking you have for your meetings rooms, for example.
Here's a quick reference of all the status types, grouped into open and closed.
💡 Interactions that don't have a status are considered open.
If a member ever wants to see their closed interactions, they can check their recent activity in the user profile.
