Here's everything you need to know about how VTS Activate collects and uses information.
Notifications
Enabling notifications helps you stay on top of events and information in your buildings and workplaces. We definitely recommend using Allow Notifications to get the best out of the app—you can get notifications in-app, by email, or in a text message.
You can control notifications by Channel, too, if you only want specific updates.
Data privacy
Your contact information—email address and name—is used to verify your account and your membership in different channels. We don't share contact info with outside parties.
You can check VTS' data privacy policy for more info, or read up on our terms and conditions.
Location Tracking
Activate uses location data to find nearby companies and buildings and show you what's closest.
Location tracking for mobile access
Channels with Mobile Access let you unlock doors with your mobile device—instead of a keycard or fob. Activate needs location data to make it work, though.
Always Allow is best for unlocking doors automatically—you don't even have to have your phone out. The app will run in the background of your phone and contact mobile access stations as you pass them.
Allow while using the app lets you unlock doors with your mobile device in-hand, app open.
VTS stores and logs your access credentials and location data to make mobile access work smoothly, but we never share it or use it for other purposes.
Secure payments
You might be asked for payment to reserve amenities, order food, or purchase event tickets. Payments are made through the Stripe payment processing network or the PlacePay network, both of which use best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.
VTS doesn't store, log, or share your payment data with anyone.
