How do I update the app?
Most mobile devices automatically update when the newest version comes out, but sometimes security settings might prevent the update. The best thing to do is to delete the VTS Activate app and download the newest version from the App Store or Google Play.
You can check your app version in the app. Go to User profile and then scroll to the bottom to see your version.
The desktop version is always up to date.
How do I join or switch Channels?
On desktop, click the user profile, then choose the Buildings & Companies tab. You can search and add yourself to Channels here, then find them in the Channel switcher at the top of Activate.
On mobile, tap the user profile icon, then Add a new workplace. You can change Channels here if you tap Manage my workplaces.
How do I choose which channels I get notifications from?
You'll get notifications for any Channels you're subscribed. If you want to edit notifications for a specific Channel, switch to it and click the gear icon to see the Channel's settings.
On mobile, switch to the channel, tap the user profile, then use App notifications to change your settings.
How do I create a team?
Teams are groups of people with the same permissions and requirements. They're a great way to target messages in Activate.
|💡 Note: only Admins can make new Teams on the desktop version of Activate.
To make a new team, go the Admin view, then Team Management under the Channel Settings tab. Click the New Team button, edit your information and settings, then click Create. To speed things up, you can export the permissions from a similar Team you've already made, then Import them here and make any updates you need to.
How do I add members to Teams?
Head to the Admin view, then Team Management under the Channel Settings tab. Click on the Team you need, then use the Invite button if you know they're new to Activate, or use the Add User button if they're already part of a different Team or Channel.
How do I switch between the Member and Admin views?
On desktop, click the Channel selector and make the switch at the bottom. Most of the time, you'll want to do your Admin activities on the desktop version. If you're on mobile, tap the User profile icon, then Manage your workplaces to see the Admin features.
