When you have a busy schedule of events to show, there's no need to redesign your tabs every time. You can set up different kinds of content feeds to automatically display your new items by the Goes Live and End Dates.
We'll take a look at a few different options—embedding within the content block, content feeds, the User Today feed, and user notice feeds.
Linking in the Content block
If it's only a few items, you can link to other Notices, Pages, and Posts right in another Content block. All you have to do is drag the Content block into the builder and click the magnifying glass to choose the other Content you want to link.
You can choose how you want the pin to show up in the content, too.
Content Feeds
A Content Feed shows Notices, Posts, Perks, and Promotions from a channel in one convenient list. Just add the Content feed block to a piece of content and publish it for members to view.
You've got a lot of options to decide how to display the latest content:
-
Sort by start date or end date and sort direction by Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest.
- Sorting by start date - newest to oldest sorts content as per the event start date closest to the present date to the furthest date.
- Sorting by start date - oldest to newest sorts content as per the event start date that is furthest from the present date.
- Sorting by end date - newest to oldest sorts content as per the event end date that is closest to the present date to the furthest date.
- Sorting by end date - oldest to newest sorts content as per the event date furthest away from the present date.
- Add a title to show above the feed
- Limit which type of content you want to display
- Toggle to hide the content feed when there's nothing to show that fits your parameters
- Choose how many pieces of content display in the list
- Add a View more or a View all button
The User Today feed
If you want to show content from every channel a member's a part of, use the User Today feed. Unlike the Content feed, it won't show Perks or Promotions.
Since it's dependent on the user, it might look different to different members in your workspace.
The display options are similar to the Content feed—here, though, you can choose whether to display the list vertically or horizontally.
User Notices
The User Notices block is a list of all current Notices that are currently live. You can keep all of a member's important info all in one area.
Just like the other feeds, you can customize how the Notices will display to your members, including how the Notices are sorted.
A good place for the User Notices feed is the Home tab—members can get important information like maintenance warnings and fire drills as soon as they access the app. It's usually set up this way on your Home tab automatically.
