What are Themes?
Themes allow you to create preset color palettes that control the appearance of your channel. These colors palettes should be based on your brand.
Setting Themes
Themes are set at the Organization (Parent) level.
-
Client Admins need to be enrolled in the Workplace Admin team at the Organization level in order to set their theme colors.
-
Otherwise theme colors are set during the implementation phase or by making a request to Support.
Theme Color Palette
You can select a Primary, Secondary and a Background Color based on your branding, as well as additional colors in the Custom Palette.
The option to select custom colors is also available to users, but this option should be used in rare cases.
Configuring custom color palettes
Color palettes are edited at the Parent level and apply to all child levels. In the Admin View, select Parent Channel in the sidebar until you are at the Parent level:
- Themes: Go to Channel Settings and select Profile. Then select the Themes tab:
- Edit: Select a color to edit the Primary, Secondary and Background colors. You can enter HEX or RGB values, or select from the color picker.
Note: The background color should be a light shade since it will appear behind all text in the Layout.
- Preview & Save: As you edit the color palette you will be able to preview those changes in real-time in the Theme Preview. Click on Save to preserve your new theme.
- Import/Export: You can import and export Themes in JSON format. Select the three dots (...) next to the Save button to reveal the Import and Export buttons.
