What is Sort Order?
Sort Order appears as an option in several content blocks that allows you to define the order in which content is shown within a Post or Page.
You can manage the Sort Order for:
- User Today Feed
- User Notices
- Content Feed
When designing a Post or Page, Sort Order is active on all of the content blocks listed above.
In the Editor step:
- Drag and drop one of the content feeds to the Layout, and select a content source.
- Sort Order: Upon selecting your content source from the block menu, scroll down to the Sort Order section to define the order in which content is shown.
Sort Direction: You also have the ability to sort by the content Start Date or End Date.
Further, you can choose the feed direction from Newest to Oldest, or Oldest to Newest.
-
Start Date/Newest: show earliest start date first
-
Start Date/Oldest: show latest start date first
-
End Date/Newest: show earliest end date first
-
End Date/Oldest: show latest end date first
Multi-day events will be listed chronologically based on the Start and End dates.
You will be able to see the changes in real-time to identify which works best for you!
User Interactions List
When displaying a list of user interactions, similar rules apply.
-
Start Date/Newest: newest interaction appears first
-
Start Date/Oldest: oldest interaction appears first
-
End Date/Newest: oldest interaction appears first
-
End Date/Oldest: newest interaction appears first
The View all option lists all interactions in the order they were made.
