QR Codes (Quick Read Codes) are a type of square barcode scanned by a smartphone camera or a barcode reader. This guide covers where and how VTS uses QR codes in Activate.
Everyone has a unique QR code to identify them as an Activate member.
To view the QR code, go to the profile tab and click the QR code icon at the top right.
Whenever someone submits an interaction—like reserving spaces or registering guests—they get a QR code for the interaction.
When someone scans it, the transaction receipt will display to verify a reservation, registration, or purchase.
Scanning for status
Admin users can scan a QR Code to change the status of an interaction from Created or Approved to Arrived or Closed, for example.
As long as you have Mobile Admin View enabled for the channel, you can scan a QR code of a member's transaction and change the status. If you're not sure if you have the mobile admin view or not, reach out to your partner at VTS for more information.
