July
Visitor Management
Our new visitor management toolkit is growing all the time. In July we added two new Access Control System integrations—Genea and Genetec—and an integration with Dymo printers to print passes directly from VTS Activate. If you’re interested in checking out the visitor management module, reach out to your partner at VTS.
Billing and Payments
The new billings & payments module is also improving every day. This month, we added the ability to add products directly into content on the channel, subscriptions for recurring services around your spaces, and an all-new product catalog to create and use templated versions of charges that come up all the time. If you’re interested in adding payments to enhance your members’ experience, reach out to your partner at VTS for more information. (If you’re wondering, we currently connect to Stripe as a merchant account).
Event Analytics Dashboard
Activate has an all new dashboard in Insights & Reports that tracks engagement and attendance for events by tenant or company. Just remember that you need to make your content an event by clicking the event toggle in the info step for it to be tracked properly.
Dynamic Sections
Add date filters to your dynamic sections for easy browsing or pin content to the top so your members will always see it first on the page. You can find both settings in the sections tab under content in the navigation bar.
June
Auth0 for authentication
We've revamped our user onboarding flow with a new authentication tool, Auth0. You and your members won't notice much of a difference, but the user experience is much smoother and you can rest easy knowing you're backed by a best-in-class security tool.
Calendar view in reservations manager
Use the new display setting, calendar view, in your reservation manager. You can see at a glance your amenity usage or event participation for the day. Just go to reservations in the admin view, then click calendar.
Simpler invites
Check out our new invite flow, which simplifies adding single or bulk users in a just a few clicks. Admins can check it out in property settings > team management.
Cleaner workflows
We’ve also revamped workflows with a better user experience—it’s all the same functionality, but our new designs should have you setting up workflows in a fraction of the time. When you create or edit interactive content, you can find workflows in the rightmost panel of the editor step.
May
Multi-language settings
Build content in multiple languages and let your members choose which they prefer in the account settings. With our new multi-language support, you can create alternate versions of your Posts and Pages in whichever language you choose. Members can also select between 15 different languages for general navigation and platform copy to make moving around the app a little easier. If you’re interested in hosting content in primary and secondary languages, reach out to your partner at VTS.
Content organization
Sections just got a big boost—now you can use custom tags to create flexible filtering options for your members to easily sort and browse your content. It also creates better analytics data by locking in the category as the primary method of sorting your content in your reports. Take a look at out our sections and tags guides to see how you can optimize the browsing experience for your members.
OccasionGenius integration
Check out the new event sourcing tool we offer, OccasionGenius—with this integration, you can add local content to your app automatically. OccasionGenius pulls nearby events across multiple markets and autogenerates content in your platform so people in your properties can get suggestions relevant to them, with zero effort. Give a shout to your advisor if you want to tap into your local network.
Time zones and reporting
For more accurate reporting, we’ve changed time zones across your reports to correspond to the time zone that the property is in. Your engagement numbers and amenities usage will reflect what’s going on in your properties in real-time—not just where you currently are, crunching your numbers. You might notice the discrepancies on June 5, when this change goes live and we switch to local time zones, but there aren’t any real impacts to your data.
