If you already have a building app published on another entity's developer account, that entity needs to transfer the live app to your App Store and Google Play accounts—this lets VTS set up your new Activate white-label. In this guide, we'll walk you through accepting the transfers on both accounts.
App Store
You'll need to be the Account Holder to accept the transfer. To get started, log in to AppStore Connect. You might see a warning banner—follow the instructions Apple provides before you can accept the transfer.
When you're ready, you'll see the app transfer in your account. Click review to see the transfer form.
Update the app metadata. If you don't have your own, you can use VTS'.
Use this contact information for App Review:
- First name: Ram
- Last name: Balakrishnan
- Phone number: 587-570-7464
- Email: mobiledeveloper@vts.com
Click Accept when you're done.
Google Play
You'll get an email from Google Play Console for the app transfer.
Click the Review request button. Log in as any admin account—you don't have to be the account owner—confirm the details, and accept the request.
Once the request has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email.
Your transfer's being processed—usually, it takes a few business days to complete.
Google Play Upload Keys
If you already have a live app in the Google Play store, you might need to reset the upload key to help VTS switch to your new Activate white-label. Don't worry—this won't affect your current app or any previous releases installed on your customer's phones, but it'll set you up for future releases and downloads.
- The VTS team will send you a .pem file.
- Log in to your Google Play account.
- Head to the app's page.
- Click the Setup dropdown, then App Signing.
- Click request upload key reset. Note: if you see a prompt to upgrade your app signing key, ignore it.
- When prompted, provide the .pem file VTS sent you.
- Once you're done, you'll get a confirmation email for your reset request.
