What is Captivate?
Captivate makes billboards, signs, and digital displays that are available in multiple cities and markets.
How does Activate integrate with Captivate?
Content created in VTS Activate can be sent to Captivate for display in their digital displays. When the integration is made available in a Channel, a checkbox appears that sends the information to Captivate for distribution in the buildings and displays in your agreement with Captivate.
How do I select where to distribute my material?
Activate customers should have an agreement in place with Captivate that determines which buildings and digital billboards will show their material. The Activate platform is used to create the information used in the advertisement. An optional QR code works as a link that takes the user to the content in Activate.
How do I create content in Activate for Captivate?
As a Workplace Admin:
- Go to the Content Center
- Create a new Post
- In the Info step, enter the Title, Description, and upload the image you want to be displayed. We recommend categorizing the Post as Advertising which will help identify it when viewing Insights & Reports.
In the Editor step, select Integration and then Captivate from the drop-down.

Enter the information you want users to see when they follow the QR Code. This could be details about a promotion, contest, survey, or simply informational.

In the Targeting step, select whom the advertisement will be visible to.
- Select the Display on Captivate screens checkbox. This will send the details of the Post to Captivate for syndication.
A Preview button appears when the checkbox is selected. This gives you a preview of the advertisement in three different screen resolutions. Note the Title, Description, and Image displayed are from the Info step, not from the Editor. The QR code links to the information in the Editor.
In the Publish step, select the dates when this advertisement will be visible. Captivate will use these dates as the start and end of the advertising cycle.
Select Save and Publish.
What are the recommended specifications?
For best results:
- Format: JPG or PNG
- Aspect ratio: 4:3

What is Cineplex?
Cineplex makes billboards, signs, and digital displays that are available in multiple cities and markets.
How does Activate integrate with Cineplex?
Content created in VTS Activate can be sent to Cineplex for display in their digital displays. When the integration is made available in your channel, a checkbox appears that sends the information to Cineplex for distribution in the markets you have selected with Cineplex.

What is Pattison?
Pattison makes billboards, signs, and digital displays that are available in multiple cities and markets.
How does Activate integrate with Pattison?
Content created in Activate can be sent to Pattison for display in their digital displays. When the integration is made available in your channel, a checkbox appears in the Targeting step that allows you to preview and export the content to Pattison for distribution in the markets you have contracted with Pattison.
How do I select where to distribute my material?
Activate customers should have an agreement in place with Pattison that determines which buildings and digital billboards will show their material. The Activate platform is used to create the information used in the advertisement. An optional QR code works as a link that takes the user to the content in Activate.
How do I create content in VTS Activate for Pattison?

- You MUST toggle Set this as an event ON whether it’s an event or not, and then set the dates that you want the post to be published. This step triggers the display advertising cycle. This will match the Publish & Unpublish dates, and does not reflect the actual event date! This is why advertisements or announcements are recommended over posting events as events will only show on the displays on the actual dates and times of the event itself. The Publish & Unpublish dates will NOT override this for the Pattison integration.
In the Editor step, select Integration and then Pattison from the drop-down.

How soon will my content be displayed?
That depends on Pattison and the contract details. The content shown in the Preview is sent to Pattison and added to their distribution queue. There are many factors at play beyond the control of Activate.

What's YouRHere?
YouRHere is the Calgary-based maker of billboards, signs, and digital displays available in multiple cities and markets.
How does Activate integrate with YouRHere?
Content created in Activate can be sent to YouRHere for display in their digital displays. When the integration's made available in your channel, a checkbox appears in the Targeting step that allows you to export the content to YouRHere for syndication (distribution).
Go to Channel Settings > Integrations and add both the YouRHere integration and the Captivate integration to the channel to set it up.

RSVP with the [CLIENT] App.” If the post is strictly for advertising, recommend categorizing the Post as Advertising which will help identify it when viewing Insights.

⚠️ YouRHere's intended to be used by itself, not with another display integration—if you used YouRHere and Pattison at the same time, for example, you'd probably end up sending duplicate content to your members. |
