The Related Spaces feature lets you link spaces in your workspace to control who can book different parts of a room. We'll explore exactly what they are and how you can set them up in your own spaces.

What are Related Spaces?

Related Spaces are part of the Reservable Interactive feature. It allows you to link a room to separate parts.

Imagine you have a large conference room and a moveable divider that allows you to break up the conference room into smaller areas—Related Spaces lets members reserve the smaller portions of the conference room and block someone else from booking the entire conference room during that time.

Requirements

Your pages need to match before you can link them correctly. Make sure you follow these guidelines to set them up:

• Related Spaces can only be applied to Interactive Pages.
• The Parent and Child Pages have to be created before you can link them.
• The Related Space needs to be applied to the Parent Space.
• Capacity has to be 1.
• The Child Space and Parent Space should have the same Minimum bookable time slot, Maximum bookable consecutive slots, Buffer Time (if applicable), and Split into separate reservations (if applicable).

Linking your spaces

Under the Advanced Tab of the Reservable feature: 

1. Click the Related Spaces toggle.
2. Pick at least two Pages from the drop-down that will be the Child Spaces.

How linked spaces work

It helps to map out how you want your spaces to relate to one another. Here's an example of how they behave once you've linked them up:

• If Space A or B is reserved, the Parent Space is blocked for new reservations.
• A reservation for Space A won't block people from reserving Space B.
• If the Parent Space is reserved, Spaces A and B are blocked off.
