Create Perks and Promotions to boost specials, discounts, and events in your Retail channels associated with the property. They work a lot like Posts—we'll explore the differences in this guide.
Perks and Promotions
Perks and Promotions are basically unique types of Posts. Promotions appear in Retailer channels as a separate content creation area called the Promotion Center. You can add perks to any type of channel as a special area called the Perks Center.
Both create content that's specifically for promotions you target to other channels, like the property or a specific tenant channel. By having Perks and Promotions in distinct content creation centers, you can control—using permissions—which teams can create them, and prevent them from creating regular Posts.
Also by having separate content creation centers you can populate different content feeds in the targeted channel, rather than having all content appear in a single feed.
The Perk/Promotion Center
The Promotion Center appears in all Retailer type channels.
To enable the Perk Center, as an Admin or Workplace Admin:
-
Go to Channel Settings > Profile > Settings.
-
Toggle the Enable Perks button.
-
Save the changes.
The Perk Center appears in the Content section of the Admin View
Perk/Promotion Templates
You can create separate and distinct templates for use with Perks and Promotions content. When creating a template, select either Post, Perk, or Promotion as the type of template.
Perk and Promotion templates appear during the initial content creation step.
Create a Perk or Promotion
Creating a Perk is just like creating a Post using the Content builder.
Targeting is the same, too. If you're creating a Perk in a Retailer channel, you are most likely targeting:
-
All members in a Property or Company channel,
-
Specific tenants in a Property or Company channel,
-
All members in multiple channels.
Targeting Promotions is a little different from Perks—you don't target an audience, just the Go Live, Start, and End dates of the promotion.
Instead, place a Content Feed in the target channel and direct it to pull from a Promotions feed in a Retailer Channel.
💡 Retailer channels should be made Public to ensure content created in it can be seen by members in other channels without having to be a member of the retail channel. |
Display
The main advantage of using the Perk or Promotion Center is you can display the content in a separate feed than Posts.
Place a Content Feed in a Community or Retailers tab page, for example, and configure it to show the Perks or Promotions from the originating channel.

Reporting
Perks and Promotions appear as a separate type of content in Content and Post Analytics dashboards in Insights & Reports:
-
Compare the impressions, views, and interactions on Perks and Promotions separately from regular Posts.
-
Vew detailed information about a specific Perk or Promotion in Post Analytics.
