Rise Tap for Occupants at Commercial Properties
Rise Tap allows quick access for you as an Occupant to enter your property. Instead of searching in the app for Access, you can place your phone against a Rise Tap and it will prompt a notification to unlock the door.
To utilize this feature, NFC settings must be enabled on your phone and you also must be logged into the app.
What is NFC?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It allows phones, tablets, and other devices to share data over other NFC-equipped devices. It has a communication range of about 4 inches, automatically establishing a connection when another NFC device enters that range. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay, all use NFC.
Turning on NFC on the Phone
In order for Rise Tap to work with the phone, NFC settings must be enabled. This allows the phone to communicate with Rise Tap.
iPhone
NFC is automatically enabled on Apple Phones.
Android
In Connection Preferences this is where you are able to toggle on NFC allowing data exchange when the phone touches another device.
How to Use Rise Tap
Step 1
Place the top back of your phone on the Tap device.
