In this guide you will learn about the integration Entrata and how it works with VTS Rise.
What is Entrata?
Entrata is a user management and work order integration that allows units, residents and work orders to be managed in one place.
Data Flow and Synchronization Process
The following data will sync from Entrata to VTS Rise:
-
Units
-
Residents: Residents are mapped to units and pulled from Entrata to VTS Rise.
Residents can be pulled from Entrata to VTS Rise at a defined time range before that resident's lease begins. For example, if a property wants a resident to have access to VTS Rise 30 days before their lease beings, VTS Rise will automatically generate the residents account at this time.
Work Order Syncing
-
VTS Rise imports work order categories, problems and locations from Entrata via a one-way sync.
-
If a work order is created in either system or its status is updated, the changes will be pushed to the other system. For example if a work order is created in VTS Rise, it will be immediately pushed to Entrata and vise versa.
VTS Rise and Entrata Sync Methods
- A CRON Job also known as a nightly update will happen at midnight (local time of your property) to sync Units and residents from Entrata to VTS Rise. If a Unit or resident is deleted or updated in Entrata these changes will be reflected in VTS Rise in the following sync.
- A manual sync can also be pushed from the VTS Rise admin portal to sync units and residents.
- A CRON Job will run every 30 minutes to import work order categories, problems and locations from Entrata to VTS Rise. Similarly to how you can push a manual sync for units and residents you can also push a manual sync to update work orders, categories, problems and locations if needed.
