Creating Hourly Amenities
Having an Hourly Amenity allows your residents to book amenity on an hourly basis allowing only one user to book at a time. In this article, you will learn how to:
Creating Hourly Amenities
Step 1
After logging into your property's Admin Portal, select Operations and then Amenities under Property Services.
Step 2
Under Amenities, select Add Amenity in the right corner.
Step 3
Name the Amenity and give it a description. Under the description, select Yes for Should Amenity have a Calendar? This will open the options for the type of booking. Select Hourly. This will prompt Cost per Hour and Additional Flat Price to appear. Here you are able to include any prices you will be charging for the Amenity. If no charges are required, set to $0.
Step 4
Once you've completed entering the amenity details, select Next until you reach the Range Based Price tab.
Hourly Pricing
Under Range Based Price if your amenity is using Hourly Pricing it will pull the amount you included under Cost per hour.
Range Based Pricing
Range Based Price is available if your property is using range-based pricing as opposed to hourly. If your property is not using Range Based Pricing, select Hourly Pricing.
The Maximum Time Allowed set for the amenity must be covered by the hour ranges. In the below example, the Amenity is available at max for 8 hours in an individual booking. The Range Based Pricing needs to cover those 8 hours. Based on the example screenshot below, here are the rates a user would pay based on the amount of hours they are booking.
- 1 Hour = $20
- 2 Hours = $20
- 2.5 Hours = $30
- 7 Hours= $50
Select Next.
Step 5
Continue to the Opening/Closing Time tab and then select Submit.
Changing Existing Amenities to Hourly
After an Amenity has been created, you are unable to change the Type of Booking. In the case an amenity needs to change, for example, from Day-Wise to Hourly, you will need to delete or deactivate the existing amenity. Afterward, you will recreate the amenity, this time selecting Hourly under Type of Booking.
Step 1
Make sure you have all of the information you would like to include in the amenity you are replacing. Check the existing amenity for the information before deleting or deactivating. To view the amenity, select the three horizontal dots next to the amenity you are going to replace with an Hourly booking. From the dropdown, select Open. Copy and paste the information or take screenshots to ensure you are recreating the amenity with the same information.
Step 2
Deactivate or delete the existing amenity. Under Amenities, select the three horizontal dots next to the amenity you are going to replace with an hourly booking. From the dropdown, select Delete or Deactivate.
Delete: Deleting an amenity will remove it from resident view and from the portal altogether.
Deactivate: Deactivating an amenity will remove it from resident view but will remain in the portal.
Step 3
After deleting or deactivating, create a new amenity by selecting Hourly under Type of Booking. Include all of the information for the amenity and select Submit.
